Quick Update on the Nabhan Raid

Accurate tactical intelligence is a vital prerequisite for successful special operations such as the Nabhan raid. 

It appears that a recent improvement in information access is what allowed this American Nabhan attack to succeed:

"In the past air strikes on suspected terrorist targets in Somalia — including an attempt to kill Nabhan with Tomahawk missiles in March last year — have missed, killing civilians instead.

Monday’s attack was both more successful in achieving its aim and in avoiding the kind of civilian casualties that have dogged the fight against Islamist insurgents in Afghanistan and Pakistan, as well as Somalia."
